We weighed anchor at around 0640, on Helen's instructions in order to get the tide up the coast to Lowestoft. This we did for most of the way, making well over 7 and ½ knots over the ground. The weather was consistently giving Force 4s, frequent showers, but the wind was in a good direction so we were able to have a comfortable sail. The AIS helped us to identify boats before we could see them in the miserable cloud. We arrived at the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht club around 1330 and as the bar was closed had our arrival beer on the boat.
