Rota was a nice town to settle down in of a few months but the marina don't allow owners to work onboard their boats when they are out of the water to we decided to move to Puerto Sherry to carry out our winter maintenance.
We left the marina around 11:30, setting full main and genoa once we were clear of the breakwater for a pleasant reach across the bay in warm sunshine. Reaching Puerto Sherry around 13:00 we found a spot to anchor between the beach and the river's training wall. In the summer this can be a busy anchorage but in January we were the only boat.
A gentle swell rocked us to sleep.
