As we now had an extra hour of tide in our favour and we were closer to Luing, we had a slightly later start and followed another boat south between Kerrera and the main land. Initially we motored, but as we cleared Kerrera the wind came around and up went the mizzen and genoa. The other boat, an Ovni, followed suit as we passed Easdale and headed into the Sound of Luing. We overtook the Ovni and waved excitedly as both boats hit around 14 knots over the ground with the tide in our favour.
We headed through Dorus Mor and up into Loch Craignish under sail, eventually anchoring off Eilean nan Gabhar. We had a peaceful final night at anchor with rainbows, cloud, rain and sun.
