Given
the good weather forecast, Andy and Helen decided to go down to the
boat for the day to service the winches. Although it started a little
damp, the sun soon shone down on us. Unfortunately Andy was not well
and was only able to manage 2 winches, however it was a lot less
painful this year with the good weather and only two thirds of the
work. On the way home we popped into the local vineyard on Shotley
peninsula and bought a bottle of mead and English wine for Christmas.
We are looking forward to a sail over Christmas, with lovely smooth
winches for Andy to use as we tack up the river!
