We weighed anchor at 0700 and left the Ria as the sun rose behind us. Despite the sun, it was very cold and we sat in the cockpit covering our legs with a blanket to keep warm.
The wind was very light so we motored most of the way. About 2 hours from our destination the wind filled and we had a great sail with the wind behind us toward our anchorage off Ares. Here our supper was being prepared by Fiona, Simon and their Labrador Bella on Brindabella for which we were very grateful. They were able to give us loads of advice about the great sailing and anchorages in Brittany and we were able to give them a little bit of information about Spain and Portugal.
We stayed in Ares for a couple of nights in the hope that we could find a nice place for lunch. Unfortunately we had to make do with a beer as the restaurants weren't serving food.
