Friday 22 nd June
We slipped anchor at 0850 and motored through the Sound of Luing, arriving at Ardfern Marina by 1220. At the same time a steamboat arrived puffing lots of black smoke and hooting it's horn.
Fortunately the new part for our autohelm had just arrived so Andy was able to put this on. It had all the same holes as the old one so it was a fairly straightforward job, apart from the rain starting as soon as Andy started emptying out the lazarette. This seems to be a trend. We did some laundry and had lunch in the cafe down the road.
Saturday 23 rd June
The following day it was raining so we filled up with water and washed the boat and decided to stay for one more day. The forecast for the next few days looked good so we made a plan to head for Skye and Loch Scavaig under the Cuillin mountains.
