For a change this morning's start was not too early, weighing anchor at 0920. Initially we had enough wind to sail out of the Swale, but as this dropped off we turned the engine on to make enough progress to keep a favourable tide up the Essex coast.
With a mix of motor sailing and sailing we made our way back to Ipswich and were back in our home berth by 2030.
