Monday 9 th September 2013
We were off the anchor by late morning on a grey day, making our way further up the Medway to Chatham. As we approached the town it started to rain so we had a damp entry into the marina, tying up just before 2pm.
On the way to the showers Andy spotted Ocean Mist, our old boat. We'd often wondered where she'd gone to so now we know. There's a plate with her name on it on the pontoon so this is clearly her home berth now (despite what you'd think from the Britannia Sailing web site who still claim that she's available for charter in Shotley...).
In the afternoon we visited Chatham Historic Dockyard, including a tour of the impressive rope walk.
Tuesday 10 th September
The ticket for the dockyard is an annual pass so we spent most of the day there today looking around the various collections and taking tours of the submarine MHS Ocelot and the destroyer HMS Cavalier.
This evening Sally joined us for supper and a night aboard.
