We left our anchorage in a leisurely fashion and sailed down the Carrick Roads and across Falmouth Bay. Our course took us slightly south of the entrance to the Helford River so we tacked a couple of times before picking up a mooring buoy. The weather forecast was for North Westerly winds force 4-5 occasionally 6 with a slight to moderate sea state so we were looking forward to a good sail to the Isles of Scilly the following morning.
