Friday 19 th October
We headed down to the boat after work in order to meet Anita and Gerry. When they arrived, after a detour around Ipswich and some directing by phone, we went on the search for some food. Every where seemed full so we found a big table in the Lord Nelson pub where there was food.
Saturday 20 th October
We were ready to leave around 1000 only to find out that the lock gates were broken. We didn't seem to be the only ones who hadn't been told. They were only opening the gates around high water so had to wait until 1400 to lock out. We sailed down and then up to Ewarton Ness where we anchored for the night in the rain.
Sunday 21 st October
We started the day with a sail in Pennyholm Bay but it was quite choppy and unpleasant so we turned round and headed back to Ipswich. The wind that we had found out in the bay disappeared as we headed up river so the motor was on again.
Next stop would be Andy taking her to the lift out crane for a paint job and some maintenance. See you in the spring!!
