We decided to wait for the wind before waving goodbye to Maureen and Bob. We motored across the bay initially with the wind on our nose. However, the wind soon picked up as usual and we had a great sail down the Ria and around the corner, where we anchored off a beach. This anchorage lacked the protection of the rias, so the boat rocked gently in the swell.
